Join Us at PGEA
PGEA, or Pine Grove Educational Alliance, is the parent-teacher organization committed to supporting our Pine Grove teachers and staff and planning and executing school fundraisers and community events, such as the first ever kickball tournament, Panther Prowl, trunk or treat, and the Sock Hop.
You probably remember a PTO/PTA organization from your youth…and you probably remember those moms promoting bake sales, door-to-door wrapping paper sales, and holding long, boring meetings. That is NOT US!
We are an all-inclusive group of parents that cares about elevating our children’s educational experience through FUN fundraisers and AMAZING community events. We are all working parents that find just a little bit of time in our schedule each month to volunteer for the betterment of our school and our kids. AND, we have FUN. No, seriously. PGEA is a great way to meet more parents and we have an amazing group that loves to socialize outside of our meetings/events.
We invite anyone interested in helping our students and teachers THRIVE to join!
Pine Grove is blessed with a parent community committed to giving and volunteering to give students the best learning experience possible. There are tools teachers are thrilled to use with students that could not have been provided with limited state funding. They were provided by you! Last school year, we raised over $65,000. Both your monetary generosity and volunteer hours helping to put on our events give the school what it needs to provide the best of the best in 21st century education.
Why is PGEA so important?
FACT: Colorado ranks 39th in the nation for per pupil funding and per pupil operating expenses. Colorado spends $3,087 per pupil LESS than the national average [Ed Week, 2021 Quality Counts]
This is why PGEA is SO important! Through our efforts, we help "fill the gap" in funding to support quality education for our children!

Q: If I volunteer for PGEA, does that mean I won't have time to watch my favorite show on Netflix?
A: Absolutely not! Binge-watching is encouraged. You can volunteer as little or as much as you want. Even helping for 1 or 2 hours per event would be so helpful!
Q: I work full time and am so busy with soccer, gymnastics, and all the things. How can I help?
A: We hear you because we are all in the same boat! There are plenty of ways that you can donate just a few hours of your time, even one time per year. We're always looking for help during community events (Movie Night, Trunk or Treat, The Sock Hop, and more). Watch for our volunteer sign-ups. And, if you'd like to get more involved, please let us know!
Q: I am kind of introverted, can I still volunteer with PGEA?
A: Absolutely! PGEA is made up of a diverse, welcoming group of parents! It's totally okay if you are shy. Please come to a meeting and experience how friendly everyone is!
